Jemima Wyman is an Australian artist and her latest artwork for the Liverpool Biennial, Collective Coverings, Communal Skin, explores camouflage fabric as a material with symbolic links to violence and conflict. Using donated second-hand camouflage and hunting t-shirts she’s weaved the material on hula-hoop looms transforming objects of conflict into playful objects of comfort. All of the pieces will be added together to construct an internal architecture at the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT).
